This model, designed by Giuseppe Beccio and designed by Marcello Nizzoli, was produced since 1948; the first examples were marketed under the name Olivetti M80. It stands out for various innovations and improvements of the mechanical system, but above all for the elegance of the body in die-cast aluminum that can be easily removed to facilitate access to the mechanical part. With this manual machine Olivetti strengthens its success on the world market of mechanical writing.
