The Lexikon 80 is a famous manual standard mechanical typewriter made by Olivetti and designed in 1949 by Marcello Nizzoli together with the engineer Giuseppe Beccio. The very first version, released in 1948, was simply branded as M80. It was produced in about 780,000 copies until 1959, it was then replaced by the Diaspron 82.
It is exhibited in the permanent design collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
