Born in the neighborhood of Pescarenico, the most famous and evocative in Lecco, within the spacious premises of the historic furniture store Monti Arredamenti, Loft46's new project comes to life.
Loft46 Design Store emerges from reflection on the current furniture market, where low-cost imitations dominate everything.
It was born during a unique period, "The Quarantine", where we found ourselves living in our homes for 80 days, a time when we understood what we needed and didn't need to live in a home.
We realized that we had low-quality furniture in our homes, with a high environmental impact and no history or future, while in our basements there were many useful objects that we considered old and obsolete. Not being able to go out and buy allowed us to unearth these objects, which once cleaned of their layer of shame turned out to be effective and very attractive.
Italy and particularly Brianza have been regions that have produced a great deal of quality furniture throughout history. Some more beautiful than others, but always productions with precious woods and designs signed by international designers. These objects or furniture pieces, today, are often hidden in some forgotten basement, without a present and aging and deteriorating.
So, our response was:
Let's try to restore dignity to these objects that were once valuable.
