Rare floor lamp made by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 60s. This model is known as Catene or "Chains". The lamp is in excellent condition, the structure is in chromed steel, the base in heavy black metal. The hand-blown Murano glass diffusers have a dashed texture.
Carlo Nason born in Murano in 1935, comes from one of the oldest glassmaking families on the island, collaborates with the family glass factory V. Nason & C with which he creates some pieces that are present in the collection of the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning New York. Between 1965 and 1980 he collaborated with the AV Mazzega glassworks in Murano, whose products, now out of production, were sold in numerous international auctions.
