This precious Murano glass lamp designed by Roberto Pamio is an example of the many creations of Leucos, an Italian company founded in 1962 in Scorzé, near Venice, before later moving to Salzano. The company, strongly influenced by the cultural and artistic context of the Veneto region, in particular by the lagoon's glassmaking expertise, immediately chose glass as the focus of its research and production. The founder of Leucos, Eugenio Pamio, together with his brothers Renato and Giusto Toso, descendants of a renowned family of Murano glass masters, dedicated themselves to experimenting with new shapes and colours, combining them with the element of light. The first products, created by designer Roberto Pamio together with Toso & Massari, consisted of lamps of simple elegance that already embodied the distinctive combination of artistic creativity and technical expertise in the field of lighting. Between the 1980s and 1990s, Leucos expanded its research scope by introducing the production of Murano glass tiles, thus confirming its deep connection with a tradition destined to give it prestige beyond national borders, becoming a true emblem of Italian design.
