The Panton chair, designed by designer Verner Panton, was the first chair in the world printed in a single unit thanks to the innovative technique of injection molding. It was designed in 1960 and from 1967 it began to be mass-produced by the Vitra company. Panton's aim was to design a comfortable, versatile, stackable and affordable plastic chair.
