The Toledo chair was designed in Barcelona between 1986 and 1988 by the Argentinian architect and designer Jorge Pensi for the Spanish furniture manufacturer Amat-3. The chair designed for Spagnoli outdoor cafés and gardens immediately became popular also for interior spaces, its aesthetics reflecting the design of Pensi, a timeless chair able to integrate easily into different environments.
A light, stable and stackable chair, extremely simple and unpretentious, of high quality and practicality, made of cast aluminum with epoxy coating, the aluminum tubing, the slots in the seat and in the backrest, allow these chairs to let the rain water.
Today the Toledo chair is still produced by Knoll and sold all over the world at a price of around €1,400.00, there are many imitations also in different materials, but of course we recommend the original!
